On-site MRI mobile technology is a win-win for everyone
Minnesota Valley Health Center (MVHC) is announcing the availability of new cutting edge MRI technology. Through a partnership with Shared Medical Services, a new mobile MRI unit will be on-site Fridays beginning in February.
MVHC is able to attain maximum efficiency through Shared Medical Services MRI because costs are distributed among several healthcare organizations. The result is state-of-the-art equipment and faster upgrades with less capital investment by MVHC, thus keeping costs down for patients.
“The concept of mobile imaging is many times misunderstood,” says Trish Townsdin, MVHC CEO/President. “People tend to think ‘mobile’ can’t be as good. This couldn’t be further from the truth.”
The new MRI system from GE Healthcare delivers some of the highest quality images on the market today. The advanced technology provides shorter exams and greater comfort for patients. The new Friday schedule allows for appointments to begin as early as 6:30 a.m.
“The mobile MRI system complements and extends the range of quality diagnostic services that MVHC offers,” says Townsdin. “With the mobile solution we are able to bring affordable advanced technology right here to Le Sueur, while saving travel time and expense for our patients. It’s a win-win for everyone.”
